Chiefs are really important for coordination of the orchestras. Actually,approximately, 95% of their work is rehearsal. Chief is the leader of the team as it is understood by the name. He/ she determines how musicians play their instruments, how they ensure coordination. According to our research, we learnt that chief manages the orchestra with his right hand and he uses his left hand to add feeling. For example, he can classify music with his right hand, and he uses his left hand to arrange the loudness of the music. Le-Chief is the application that helps students who take chief education. Also it is beneficial application for person who is interested in music. For this project we will use leap motion. With Leap Motion hardware the Le.Chief can get the user’s hand gestures to coordinate the simulated orchestra. In the background of Le.Chief a DAW software will be running that will get MIDI signals from Le.Chief and produce music. Le.Cheif will be open-source, allowing everyone to work, develop their music as an orchestra chief or improve existing ones.
